The Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple is a Hindu shrine in Nepal's Dolakha district's eastern highland region.It lies at an altitude of 3842m from sea level and is a part of Gaurishankar Conservation Area. It is about 132 Kilometeres from kathmandu to charikot and 18 Kilometeres off road up to Kuri Village and an hour and half hike or five minutes of cable car ride from kuri village to Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. Goddess Bhagwati at Kalinchowk Temple is famous for the fulfillment of pilgrims prayer and desires.
The Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple is located at an altitude of 3842 meters from the sea-level, it offers a stunning view of Mt Gaurishankar, Jugal, Annapurna range and Mt Everest. Forest of multi color Rhododendron, birds and animals are the other highlights of this place. The region is located at Gaurishankar conservation area where two famous rivers of Nepal, Sunkoshi and Tamakoshi originates.
This place is famous for trekking where trekkers can drive up to Charikot 1550 meters above sea-Level and stay overnight exploring their lifestyle, culture, custom and traditions. On the next early morning after having breakfast trekkers can trek to kuri bazaar which is 3200 meters above sea level and takes around five hours. During the trek from charikot to Kuri, trekkers will have stunning views of Himalayas, Monastery different birds, animals and beautiful smiling faces of different culture and castes living together with harmony.
Once reach to Kuri Bazaar trekkers can take rest and stay for overnight on hotels. The next day early in the morning one and half hour trek or 5 mins cable car drive will lead to kalinchowk temple. On the clear night Kathmandu can be seen illuminating with lights from top of the hill.

Best time to visit Kalinchowk for Snowfall

The cable car in Kalinchowk is Nepal’s third installation after the Manakamana Cable car and Chandragiri Cable Car. You can take a cable car ride to reach the top of Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple and pay homage to the Bhagwati god. The base of Kalinchowk Cable Car is in Kuri Village which connects with Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. Kal
inchowk Cable Car was established in 2018 after a large number of travelers traveled to Kalinchowk for snowfall and rituals. The 2.5 KM long cable car is a boon for older age people who are not able to hike to the top of the temple. 2.5 KM long cable car takes approx. 6 minutes to reach the top base and you need to hike 10 minutes to reach the top hill.
There are only four gondolas in the cable car which capacity is to carry 10 people or a max of 800 KG at once. You can either hike or take a cable car ride to reach the temple. Kindly be informed that Cable Car Ticket is not part of the Kalinchowk Tour Package so you need to purchase it yourself.

Note: Kalinchowk Cable Car starts from 06 AM in the morning to 12:00 PM and makes a break for an hour. The second shift starts from 01:30 PM to 05:00 PM.
We will head towards our destination, Kalinchowk. Our total journey will be 6 hours by jeep. We will make a couple of stops on the way for tea or a toilet. Reach the hotel in the evening. You will be welcomed by Welcome drinks in the hotel and a room will be allocated. Enjoy the evening with a campfire, music, singing, and drinks with your friends. Overnight in the hotel.
We will ride a cable car up to Kalinchwok Bhagwati Shrine (Alternately, we can hike up to the temple). We will worship Goddess Bhagwati and enjoy the panorama in the surrounding. The Gaurishankhar mountain to the north during sunrise shines with full energy. Likewise, to the south-east, we can witness the beautiful Kuri Village. After you pay your prayers to Kalinchowk Bhagwati, we will return back to Kuri village to have lunch and rest for a while. After that, we are going to drive towards Dolakha Bhimsenthan. Later, we will drive back to Kathmandu via Charikot.
